I know that I am, but I don't know what I am.

Come back to the self you never left…

Thank you Walter, for sharing this!

“Hello Everyone,

This is a new video from Rupert. It is a nice guided mediation about remembering that which we already are – our true selves – pure awareness (or consciousness). It is one of those meditations where Rupert starts where we often find ourselves, forgetting our true selves, and leads us, step by step, to remember our most familiar experience – being aware, which may help remind you of your true self. I find that every time I am able to remember my true self, I am changed, or transformed, just a bit, and over time (whatever that is) I find I respond to experiences differently.

I hope you enjoy the video and all the best to all of you in the New Year, but start by being in this present moment.

Peace, love and enjoy simply being,”
Walter

memex.garden: The video explores the concept of awareness and its often overlooked presence in our lives. It begins by comparing our perception of physical space in a room to our awareness of ourselves, noting that just as we tend to focus on objects rather than the space around us 01:45, we similarly overlook our own awareness in favor of thoughts and experiences 03:06.

The speaker emphasizes that meditation is not about achieving something new but rather about recognizing the constant presence of awareness, akin to becoming aware of the space in a room 05:48. They argue that awareness is our natural state, much like being naked is our inherent condition, which we often forget amidst daily distractions 13:35.

The video also critiques the search for enlightenment, suggesting that many people embark on a quest for something extraordinary when in fact, true understanding of self is more familiar and intimate than we realize 20:50. Ultimately, it encourages viewers to return to their inherent awareness, which they have never truly left behind.
